Well, things are finally settling down around here! I know where to get groceries and even have made some friends! :) Ellie will start dance lessons in the middle of August and I have purchased some of her outfits for her birthday. She is really having a hard time making good choices. I have decided to use the old teacher trick of adding marbles (rocks) into a baby food jar. That has really changed her behavior! PRAISE THE LORD for my education at SPU! :) So far she has earned a picnic party with her parents, a day with her neighbor, and 1/2 day with day at his office! Now she is going to earn ballet lessons (little does she know that I have already paid for them!) :)
Well, it happened...Mollie fell down the stairs today. I thought my heart was going to stop. We have a gate, but someone left it open. I made sure Ellie didn't feel bad about it. She is fine PTL! That was my biggest nightmare about buying a house with two floors, but I figured other people do it and live! We have a gate, but I'm so glad God watches over us and His angels can keep us safe. Ellie asked, "Did it die her Mom?" Poor girl!

Finally settling in Kentucky
Wow! What a whirlwind experience! I think we have unpacked all our boxes...we are still trying to fit it all inside the house (out of the garage), but everything is out of the cardboard! :) Ellie LOVES her new "beautiful" house. The girls have had a hard time getting to bed. I think it's got to be hard knowing that mom and dad are downstairs. A few times Ellie has stood at the top of the stairs crying for one of us to help her come down to snuggle. They both have been sleeping in late. I hope to get them more on a schedule this week. Greg started his new job yesterday. He's slowly taking boxes from our garage and unpacking them in his new office.
I have already volunteered to help my sweet friend (32 weeks pregnant) with her VBS. I can't wait to be a teacher and not a director!!! I miss my Texas buddies. (Thanks for the phone calls.)
I'll add pictures once there's something worthy of posting! I just wanted to let you all know we made it here safely!

sadness has set in
We have loved the good-bye parties and visits, but it has officially set in...I am sad about leaving a wonderful home with great friends. Please pray for us as I know once we leave on Thursday the flood gates of tears will open. God has been so faithful to our family in Lubbock. I know he is directing our steps to Kentucky, but it hurts.
